Baggage check-in

Baggage to be checked-in is accepted at the check-in counter of the relevant flight. Passengers must do this in person and must check-in for the flight at the same time. Unaccompanied baggage will not be accepted, except as air freight.

Baggage limits

Airlines limits the amount of baggage per passenger to usually one piece of hand luggage and two checked pieces (check with the airline). Limits apply to the number of bags, weight and dimensions. Additional charges may apply for excess luggage.

Baggage storage

Token-operated baggage storage lockers are available in three sizes in the Arrivals Hall. Tokens can be purchased from a dispenser on location (50 Bfr. each). 1, 2 or 3 tokens are required depending on the size. Info 02/753.69.06

Lost or misdirected baggage

Both handling agents (Sabena and Belgavia) and American Airlines operate a lost-luggage service in the baggage reclaim area. Telephone numbers : Sabena : 02/723.60.11; Belgavia : 02/723.07.07; American Airlines (handling agent for its own flights) : 02/753.20.66

Baggage claim

All checked baggage from all flights arrives in the baggage claim area in the terminal. Displays in this area indicate the carrousel for each incoming flight.

Carts

FREE luggage carts are available where needed. For your safetyu, the use of luggage carts is prohibited on the escalators.

Porters

Porters are available to take luggage from the kerb to check-in or from the baggage claim area to the kerb. They charge 150 Bfr. for one or two pieces, and 25 Bfr. for every additional piece of luggage. Group rates amount to 1500 Bfr. per porter. Inquire at the information desk.
