The Kumps family originally operated a brewery
here in Franche-Comté.Then with admirable courage, they took on a daring venture. Today, this ancient manor farm of the
Prémonstratensian order in Louvain is the home of an
economic success story, a dry-cleaning business that provides
employment for many local people and others from further
afield.
The old brewery has
been handsomely renovated, and is now used for receptions,
seminars, conferences, exhibitions, concerts and shows.
The Goffins are
farmers. Thanks to their milk quota, they are
also artisans. At the farm in Tourinnes-la-Grosse,
with loving patience and a high degree of professionalism,
they produce "fromages de Tourinnes"
: farmhouse cheeses in natural flavors (of course), but also flavored with nettles, cumin or celery.
