Between Ghent and Antwerp, culture towns with a glorious past, at the border of Waasland lies Lokeren in Province of Eastern-Flanders. The name Lokeren means 'clear water'. A walk along the borders of the river Durme or an excursion boat on the river itself will convince you of the clearness of the water.
